How do you launch a new skincare brand for a younger consumer that disrupts the status quo?

I received a call from the owners of a startup in Boston. The brief was simple: Conceptualize and create a new skincare brand targeting young consumers. My approach was to break some rules and create a unique brand voice that was unexpected, spontaneous, and demanded attention. As a startup, it was an opportunity for me to be hands on and wear many hats in the brand development. clickR was successfully launched in Sephora stores across the US.

The logo took a multi-layered look and reflected rough skin with ‘C’ transforming to clean skin with the ‘R.’ Pillar names have a unique brand voice.

I hired a designer to work with me on a package exploration. Together, we both designed a variety of concepts that led us to the final proposal. The entire lineup included 30+ skus with high quality components and cartons printed on high quality cardstock.
